What is Hudson model for life transitions?

The Hudson Model of Life Transitions is a framework that can be used to understand and navigate life transitions. The model divides life transitions into 4 phases:

  1. Going for it: This is the phase where we are excited about new possibilities and goals. We are motivated and focused on achieving our goals.

  2. The doldrums: This is the phase where we start to feel stuck or bored. We may feel like we are not making progress towards our goals or that our goals are no longer important to us.

  3. Cocooning: This is the phase where we withdraw from the world and focus on ourselves. We may feel like we need to take some time to reflect on our lives and figure out what we want next.

  4. Getting ready: This is the phase where we start to emerge from our cocoon and prepare for the next chapter in our lives. We may start to explore new possibilities and make plans for the future.
